who’s that lady?

Welcome to my blog, Lady Gets Lit! Here you’ll find all things lit: book reviews, literary discussions, and the occasional tidbit of my writing.

This isn’t my first blog—you may have encountered me back in 2017 as The Story Salve. I started that blog the winter of my unemployment, and I was ultimately unable to keep up with its demands. I spent a lot of 2018 thinking about why I stopped blogging in the first place, and a lot of it boils down to the fact that I had unrealistic expectations for what my blog would be.

So here I am, turning over a new leaf and starting fresh (which happens to be one of my favorite things to do).

I hope to update this blog anywhere from twice a month to twice a week, depending on what’s going on in my life. One of my favorite aspects of keeping a blog is the way it enables to me to visually review my life in a compact way that just isn’t possible offline. My other favorite thing about blogging: building relationships. If you like what I have to say, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I’m always looking for more people to talk to about books, writing, and just life in general.
